Antique Cast Iron and Brass Store Beam Scale. Nice scale for your collection or to use again. Probably from the late 1800s to early 1900s. Just a guess, you be the judge. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep for yourself!

Very unique piece here due to the size. In 30 years of dealing in scales, have not seen one of this type in such a large size. Beautiful cast iron base on this scale. The scale has beautiful brass rails the attached weights slide along and then brass pieces with incised numbers for reading the weight of the object being weighed. There is no maker's mark on this piece that we can ascertain.

The piece probably dates to the latter 1800s. One can see the remnants of black, gold and green paint on this piece if one should wish to attempt to refurbish to it's original look.

What you see here is what you get. No other weights come with this piece. Not an expert in scale operations, so not sure if anything is missing or not. The scale is 33.5" across, by 9.5" tall, by 11 wide. There is no representation being made that this scale is in working order.
